Where To Put All That Stuff???

Spring cleaning time! You've collected all the stuff from your house and garage that you no longer want or use. Take a good look. Where did all this stuff come from?! Since it will all end up in the landfill eventually, you may want to recollect this image before you make your next purchase. If you don't love it and don't need it, don't buy it. We're talking about REDUCE.
Next in line is repurpose or reuse. Can you use it for something different in your home? Can you make it into something else?
Would you like to sell it? Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and Nextdoor are great options. The crafters and other repurposes can find their items if you list them on these sites. If an item isn't quite sellable, chances are really good that someone will want it. An easy thing to do is to list it for free on one of these sites. At least it will be used for something!
Check out our sections on Reuse/Repurpose and Green Shopping. We've collected resources for you to use to find new homes for your "stuff". Charities, thrift stores, Habitat for Humanity, consignment stores for clothing, home furniture and decor, and more. And of course there's the Recycling guide for the things that can't be repurposed.
Do you know of more? Great! Please let us know so we can add to our collection of resources to share. Do you find these resources to be helpful? Wonderful! We'd love to hear about it.
